Your safety is well in hand as trails adventure fitness supplies an EPIRB, comprehensive first aid kit, and other safety equipment for every walk.

Starting out doesn’t mean you need to buy a pair of hiking boots. Comfortable sturdy shoes will be a good start. Don't forget their humble counterparts - socks. Bad socks equal bad blisters, so make sure yours are nice and soft, nothing threadbare please!

Just in case either of those let you down, band-aids or blister kits are sensible additions to your pack.

Water will be required for every walk, so a water bottle or hydration system is a must.

It is essential that you bring a hat and adequate sun protection.

For many walks, insect repellent will help keep you comfortable.

On longer walks, you should bring a light snack to keep your energy levels up.

Of course, something to put your things in will help, so a small backpack, camelbak or similar will be helpful.

And last of all; bring a camera if you're so inclined as you never know what will be around the next bend.
